Angus Winchester

A Journey up a Lakeland Valley

This presentation, introduced by Marion Bowman, explores how places accrue layers of meaning. Following the Crummock and Buttermere valley to its source, Angus Winchester’s readings, based on his book The Language of the Landscape, A Journey into Lake District History, guitarist David Ashworth’s evocative live music and Rupert Ashmore’s breathtaking photography create an immersive experience, reflecting how past and present generations have responded to the landscape.
