Bookends an independent, family-owned bookshop has been in Keswick over 30 years.
We might look small, but we're jam-packed full of books, so much so that we extend our sales area into the lovely courtyard outside the shop
We love being part of the Keswick community and have pop-up shops all year round at the Keswick Museum and at Theatre by the Lake.
For over 20 years we have been the official booksellers for the prestigious Words by the Water book festival. Following a couple of years absence from the busy Theatre calendar due to Covid restrictions and economic circumstances, Words by the Water is back at the Theatre once again.
Bookends will be selling books by the various authors, just as we always have done, however as we are now partners in the Words by the Water festival, we will also be more involved in the programming and organisation of the 5 day festival.
